# Connect Cursor to TikTok, Reddit and Xiaohongshu data

Cursor can read publicly visible posts, comments and profiles on 18 platforms, including TikTok, Reddit and Xiaohongshu through SocialToAI's hosted MCP server: add one address, sign in with a code we email you and press Allow; there is no key to copy. Calls cost from 1 credit (≈ $0.002–$0.0033); failed calls are free.

## Set up Cursor

Cursor connects by signing in: you add the MCP address, sign in to SocialToAI and allow the connection. Nothing to install and no key to copy.

- Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project.
- Open Cursor's settings, find MCP: socialtoai asks you to log in. Log in.
- Your browser opens: sign in to SocialToAI with the code we email you and press Allow. Then ask in the chat.

> **Note** Where nobody signs in, send a key instead: add "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:SOCIALTOAI_KEY}" } beside the url.

## Check that it works

Ask Cursor: “Which SocialToAI tools can you use?” It lists 16 tools; finding and listing them is free. Then ask in plain words: you do not name tools or parameters, the client picks them.

## What it costs

Calls cost from 1 credit (≈ $0.002–$0.0033), and every answer states what it charged and the balance left. Failed calls are free; a search that runs and finds nothing is charged as a call. 100 free credits on sign-up, no card; credits never expire and there is no subscription. The connection is listed in the console under API keys, named Cursor. Give it a daily cap there, or revoke it at any time.

### Do I need accounts on the platforms?

No. SocialToAI reads what is publicly visible on each platform; you never sign in to them or give a cookie.

### Where is my key?

There is none to handle: Cursor holds a sign-in that SocialToAI gave it, and you can revoke it in the console. Never paste a key into a chat.
