# Instagram MCP Server

SocialToAI is a hosted MCP server that lets your AI read Instagram: search accounts and read post details, comments, account profiles and an account's posts. You add one address to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor; there is no Instagram account, login or cookie to provide and nothing to install. Calls cost 2 to 3 credits each (from $0.004); failed calls are free. Last tested 2026-10-17.

## What it cannot do

- **No trending on Instagram**: This action is not offered on Instagram. A call answers that the action is not supported and costs nothing. `trending`
- **Fields Instagram does not give**: They come back as null and are listed in the answer's unavailable, so your AI reads them as “not given”, not as zero. `bio`, `followers`, `following`, `posts_count`, `title`, `author.followers`, `metrics.shares`, `metrics.collects`, `metrics.reposts`, `hashtags`, `is_pinned`, `url`, `reply_count`, `content_id`
- **It reads. It does not post.**: Your AI cannot post, comment, like, follow or send messages on Instagram through SocialToAI.
- **Only what is publicly visible**: Content and account information anyone can see on Instagram. Nothing behind a login: no private accounts, no direct messages, no feed of your own.
