# LinkedIn MCP Server

SocialToAI is a hosted MCP server that lets your AI read LinkedIn: search posts and read post details, account profiles and an account's posts. You add one address to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor; there is no LinkedIn account, login or cookie to provide and nothing to install. Each call costs 2 credits (from $0.004); failed calls are free. ## What it cannot do

- **No trending and comments on LinkedIn**: These actions are not offered on LinkedIn. A call answers that the action is not supported and costs nothing. `trending`, `comments`
- **Fields LinkedIn does not give**: They come back as null and are listed in the answer's unavailable, so your AI reads them as “not given”, not as zero. `format`, `title`, `author.id`, `author.verified`, `metrics.shares`, `metrics.collects`, `metrics.views`, `metrics.reposts`, `is_pinned`, `verified`, `followers`, `following`, `posts_count`, `author.username`, `author.name`, `author.followers`, `metrics.likes`, `metrics.comments`, `images`
- **It reads. It does not post.**: Your AI cannot post, comment, like, follow or send messages on LinkedIn through SocialToAI.
- **Only what is publicly visible**: Content and account information anyone can see on LinkedIn. Nothing behind a login: no private accounts, no direct messages, no feed of your own.

## FAQ

**Does LinkedIn have an official API? Is this server official?**

Not for reading other members' posts: LinkedIn's self-serve API permissions cover only signing in and posting on a member's behalf. This MCP server is run by SocialToAI; it is not the platform's own and is not affiliated with it. Source: learn.microsoft.com, checked 2026-10-30.

**Can Claude and ChatGPT use it?**

Yes. In Claude or ChatGPT, on the web or the desktop app, paste the address above as a custom connector, sign in with a code sent to your email and press Allow. Claude Code and Codex take one command and Cursor a short config, then the same sign-in; a tool that only takes headers uses a key.

**Do I need a LinkedIn account?**

No. No account of yours needed, your accounts stay out of it: no LinkedIn login, no cookie, nothing to install. It reads what is publicly visible on LinkedIn, and it cannot post.

**How much does it cost?**
