# LinkedIn API

The LinkedIn API lets you search posts and read post details, account profiles and an account's posts, with no LinkedIn account or login. Each call costs 2 credits ($0.004 to $0.0067); failed calls are free. LinkedIn does not give view counts, so that field is returned as null. Use it over HTTP with an API key, or through MCP from your AI client. Last tested 2026-10-17.

Each one is called by its own op, through `POST /v1/call/{op}`; its full parameters and response fields are on its own page.

## Official API

LinkedIn's self-serve API permissions only cover signing in (the member's own name, headline, photo and email) and posting on a member's behalf. Other APIs require approval through LinkedIn's partner programs; none of the open permissions reads other members' posts.
