# Pinterest API

The Pinterest API lets you search posts and read post details, with no Pinterest account or login. Each call costs 2 credits ($0.004 to $0.0067); failed calls are free. Pinterest does not give view counts, so that field is returned as null. Use it over HTTP with an API key, or through MCP from your AI client. Last tested 2026-10-17.

## Official API

Pinterest offers an official API for creators, advertisers and merchants. Apps must be submitted for review, start with Trial access, and need a further review with a demo of the OAuth flow for Standard access; the docs list reading boards and Pins but do not describe a public content search.
