Threads API
Posts, accounts.
The Threads API lets you search posts and read post details, account profiles and an account's posts, with no Threads account or login. Each call costs 2 credits ($0.004 to $0.0067); failed calls are free. Threads does not give the author's follower count with a post, so that field is returned as null. Use it over HTTP with an API key, or through MCP from your AI client. Last tested 2026-10-17.

All toolsDoes Threads have an official API?
The Threads API mainly serves users who authorise the app. It can search public posts by keyword once the app is approved for the keyword-search permission (before that, only the user's own posts), and public-profile lookup beyond Meta's official accounts also needs approval.
