Posts, comments, accounts, trends.
The Reddit API lets you search posts and read post details, comments, account profiles, an account's posts and the trending list, with no Reddit account or login. Each call costs 2 credits ($0.004 to $0.0067); failed calls are free. Reddit does not give view counts, so that field is returned as null. Use it over HTTP with an API key, or through MCP from your AI client. Last tested 2026-11-05.

Does Reddit have an official API?
Reddit offers official Data APIs under its Data API Terms. Using them for commercial purposes, for research beyond the rate limits, or for anything the terms do not expressly permit needs a separate agreement with Reddit, and deriving revenue from them needs Reddit's express written approval.
