How to track brand mentions on Reddit after RSS ends

Reddit's RSS feeds stop on 2026-11-13, and with them the keyword alerts built on them. A watch does the same job without an RSS feed, a Reddit app or an account of yours: your AI searches Reddit for your brand every morning and brings only the new posts, each with its link. One search is 2 credits; checking one brand daily is about 60 credits a month ($0.20). Failed calls are free.

What changes on Reddit

Reddit offers official Data APIs under its Data API Terms. Using them for commercial purposes, for research beyond the rate limits, or for anything the terms do not expressly permit needs a separate agreement with Reddit, and deriving revenue from them needs Reddit's express written approval.

On 2026-09-30 Reddit posted the dates for moving public API apps and bots to its Developer Platform: new requests for public API access close on 2026-10-31, API access starts to close on 2027-01-12 for apps and users that have not registered or responded to its outreach, and public access closes for all remaining apps and users in March 2027.

Reddit stops supporting RSS feeds on 2026-11-13, calling RSS a common surface for large-scale scraping and automated abuse. It recommends Devvit apps such as Discord Relay for common moderator alerts; for RSS feeds outside a community you moderate, it says there is no replacement.

TechCrunch reports that tools such as AI assistants will need commercial agreements with Reddit for its data.

Say it to your AI once

Connect SocialToAI to your AI client, then ask in plain words. Your AI previews what the watch will run, when and at most what it costs a month, and makes it only after you agree. See Schedules.

What it costs

Each run is one ordinary call, charged when it ends: 2 credits for a search (≈ $0.004–$0.0067). One brand checked every morning is about 60 credits a month, $0.20 at the first pack; a run over its limit is skipped, free. 100 free credits on sign-up, no card.

FAQ

What replaces Reddit RSS for keyword alerts?

A watch on a Reddit search: it runs every day or week at a time you choose and delivers only the posts that are new since the run before.

Do I need a Reddit account or API approval?

No. Nothing runs in an account of yours; you need one SocialToAI key, or sign-in from your AI client.

How much does one brand cost a month?

Checked once a day, about 60 credits, $0.20 at the first pack. Failed calls are free.

Where do the new posts go?

To your AI app when you ask, and by email or to a webhook if you set the watch to.
