X API cost calculator
Type how many posts, profiles and trends you read on X a month and see what X's pay-per-use API charges at its own prices, read 2026-10-29: $0.005 a post and $0.010 a user. Beside it, the same reads as SocialToAI calls, which are charged per call, not per post. The formula and sources are below; it runs in your browser.
How the cost is worked out
- On X's API = for each kind of read, the number of posts, accounts or likes returned × X's price for one, plus trends requests × X's price per request. X charges per resource returned, from prepaid credits.
- On SocialToAI = for each kind of read, the calls it takes × the call's credits. A call returns a page of results, so the calls are the number read ÷ what one call typically returns, rounded up; the dollars are the credits at your pack's rate.
- Both are estimates. X does not charge twice for a resource it already charged in the same UTC day, which it calls a soft guarantee; this calculator counts every resource once. A page can hold fewer results than usual. Failed calls cost nothing.

X's prices
X charges per resource returned: $0.005 a post, $0.010 a user, $0.010 an account in a followers or following list and $0.001 a like; trends cost $0.010 and recent post counts $0.005 per request. A resource already charged in the same UTC day is not charged again, which X calls a soft guarantee. Pay-per-use plans are capped at 3 million post reads per monthly billing cycle; more needs an Enterprise plan.
