How to let Claude read Douyin comments
Douyin's open platform serves only the users who authorise an app, with no endpoint for public videos. To let Claude read the comments under a Douyin video, add SocialToAI as a custom connector: paste one address, sign in and press Allow. A page of comments costs 2 credits, and failed calls are free.
Douyin's own API
Douyin's open platform provides video data for users who authorise the app: the video list endpoint needs the user's authorisation and a permission applied for in the developer console. No endpoint for reading any public video or profile is documented.

Ask for the comments
Give Claude the video. The comments call takes the video ID; the detail call also takes the long web link to the video. One call reads a page of comments; ask for more and Claude reads the next page.
| Ask | Price key | Credits |
|---|---|---|

To have the comments read and summed up for you, with topics, their shares and quotes, use the ready-made Comment analysis tool: from 50 credits a run on Douyin.
