Can Claude read WeChat Official Account articles?
Yes, once you connect it to an MCP server that reads WeChat Official Account articles, such as SocialToAI: paste one address, sign in and press Allow. On its own it gets little: the platform's robots.txt says `Disallow: /` to every fetcher, and it cannot search articles or read an account's history. Connected, it reads articles and comments, from 12 credits a call.

The platform's robots.txt says Disallow: / to every fetcher, apart from a few paths that are not articles. An article opens in a browser, so a link you paste may or may not be read; searching or reading an account's history is out of reach.

WeChat Official Account APIs let an account manage its own content: materials, drafts, publishing, comments and analytics. The documentation lists no interface for reading other accounts' articles.

Connect Claude
- In Claude on the web or the desktop app, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it SocialToAI, paste the address and add it. Leave the advanced settings empty.
- Press Connect. Sign in to SocialToAI with the code we email you and press Allow.
- Switch the connector on in a chat and ask.
