Does LinkedIn have an official API? Is this server official?

Not for reading other members' posts: LinkedIn's self-serve API permissions cover only signing in and posting on a member's behalf. This MCP server is run by SocialToAI; it is not the platform's own and is not affiliated with it. Source: learn.microsoft.com, checked 2026-10-30.

Can Claude and ChatGPT use it?

Yes. In Claude or ChatGPT, on the web or the desktop app, paste the address above as a custom connector, sign in with a code sent to your email and press Allow. Claude Code and Codex take one command and Cursor a short config, then the same sign-in; a tool that only takes headers uses a key.

Do I need a LinkedIn account?

No. No account of yours needed, your accounts stay out of it: no LinkedIn login, no cookie, nothing to install. It reads what is publicly visible on LinkedIn, and it cannot post.

How much does it cost?
