Does Pinterest have an official API? Is this server official?

Yes, for creators, advertisers and merchants after review; its docs describe no search of public content. This MCP server is run by SocialToAI; it is not the platform's own and is not affiliated with it. Source: developers.pinterest.com, checked 2026-10-17.

Can Claude and ChatGPT use it?

Yes. In Claude or ChatGPT, on the web or the desktop app, paste the address above as a custom connector, sign in with a code sent to your email and press Allow. Claude Code and Codex take one command and Cursor a short config, then the same sign-in; a tool that only takes headers uses a key.

Do I need a Pinterest account?

No. No account of yours needed, your accounts stay out of it: no Pinterest login, no cookie, nothing to install. It reads what is publicly visible on Pinterest, and it cannot post.
