You add one address to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor; there is no Zhihu account, login or cookie to provide and nothing to install. Each call costs 2 credits (from $0.004); failed calls are free. Does Zhihu have an official API? Is this server official?

Yes: Zhihu's data open platform offers search, the hot list and answers, with a daily free quota and paid calls beyond it. This MCP server is run by SocialToAI; it is not the platform's own and is not affiliated with it. Source: developer.zhihu.com, checked 2026-10-17.

Can Claude and ChatGPT use it?

Yes. In Claude or ChatGPT, on the web or the desktop app, paste the address above as a custom connector, sign in with a code sent to your email and press Allow. Claude Code and Codex take one command and Cursor a short config, then the same sign-in; a tool that only takes headers uses a key.

Do I need a Zhihu account?

No. No account of yours needed, your accounts stay out of it: no Zhihu login, no cookie, nothing to install. It reads what is publicly visible on Zhihu, and it cannot post.

How much does it cost?
